In case you missed it -- the Way Forward is meeting up for the first…
Looking ahead to 2020
We’ve got 552 days until Election Day, 2020. We’re taking our country back — but we’ll need all of us to win. Are you in?
Many of you remember that before last November’s midterms, the Way Forward held a series of independent canvasses. We recruited and trained several dozen canvassers, and we knocked about 1300 doors. Every candidate that we supported won her race. Many of us were together when the news came in that the House was back in Democratic hands. It was a great feeling.
Looking ahead to 2020, we’re continuing to build independent, community-based, grassroots power. We’ve got a primary election just around the corner, followed by municipal, local, and county elections this November. Our best bet for victory in 2020 is to focus on growing at the local level first, and on electing and supporting candidates up and down the ticket that share our values and will listen to their constituents.
To do this, we need everybody’s talents. Can you help us?
Join the Way Forward at Rose Hall, Wed., May 1, at 6:30 p.m. to learn how we’re going to help build a progressive base, up and down the ticket, to take back our towns, counties, state and nation this year and next.
